The studio difference
Any shop can order a frame. We can make one.
Because our designers, fitters, and framemakers share one roof, a conversation at the design table can walk straight back to the bench: Can you make this profile in cherry? Can you match the frame this client already has? Can you simplify this design to bring the cost down? Our frames are joined first and finished as a single piece, so the corners are seamless and the finish is continuous. Some things we don’t build in-house — metal frames and acrylic cases come from specialist fabricators we’ve worked with for years — but for the frame itself, you come to us when you want the best, or when you want something nobody else can make.

→Skilled repair of historic and antique frames in our gold leaf department — correcting failed past repairs, recasting missing composition ornament, hand-carving wood losses, and toning repairs into the original surface.

→Custom acrylic cases, weighted pedestals, and museum-style armatures for three-dimensional objects and sculpture.
Textiles
→Preservation-minded mounting for Hermès silk scarves, vintage sports jerseys, tapestries, and family heirlooms, stitched by hand.
Art Services & Collection Care
→Support for private and institutional collections: secure storage with 24/7 security, art receiving, and coordination of professional installation and conservation. Working with a client’s art advisor — or directly with you — we can suggest reframing or frame repair across a collection.

How to begin
Bring the work — and a photo of the wall.
Great framing begins in conversation — at our Taft Street showroom, or at your home or office. Bring the artwork: we choose corner samples, mats, and glazing against the piece itself and take precise measurements so your quote is accurate. A photo of the wall helps too — but the artwork leads. Its materials, history, and character decide the frame; the room only breaks a tie. Rooms change; the frame stays with the art.
