Custom Metal Frames for Contemporary Art

We specify and curate custom-fabricated metal frames in brass, bronze, aluminum, and steel. These profiles feature precision-fused, seamless corners and are available in professional finishes — powder-coated, blackened, oiled, and polished — creating an ultra-thin, minimalist border that visually disappears around your artwork.

Construction

Precision-fused for a seamless profile.

We work with specialized metal fabricators to ensure every frame meets our rigid architectural standards. Each profile is engineered to run continuously around the artwork — mirroring the architectural quality of our finished-corner woodwork — yielding a frame that reads as a single drawn line: structurally rigid, strong, and capable of housing large-scale contemporary canvases, heavy textiles, and oversized works on paper without flexing.

We bring our signature approach to metal framing by developing custom profiles specifically engineered to provide an ultra-thin, non-reflective border — perfect for contemporary works on paper and high-impact modern canvases.

Materials & finishes

Four metal families.

Raw & Oiled SteelCrafted from industrial mill-scale steel with meticulously finished corners, treated with natural penetrating oils or blackened patinas to preserve the rich, tactile character of raw metal.
Architectural AluminumExceptionally rigid and lightweight — ideal for oversized works. Available in satin, brushed, polished, or electrostatically powder-coated custom colors.
Bronze & Solid BrassLuminous warm metals hand-rubbed with natural wax or chemically patinated to a deep antique bronze — ideal for object armatures and sculptural shadowboxes.
Powder Coat & LacquerSeamless, durable powder-coated finishes in crisp white, subtle architectural grays, or custom matte lacquer shades mixed to match interior palettes precisely.
