Tess is a printmaker and an artist by education and training. Like many Houston printmakers, she came here from Illinois. She has been a print shop technician for the Master Print Maker at Burning Bones Press and has collaborated on prints for major artists including Trenton Doyle Hancock. Her specialized skills for handling paper and understanding of the characteristics of paper and her attention to fine details made her an excellent addition to the team as preservationist fitter. She has learned and perfected the process for selecting and applying museum hinge attachments for works on paper. Tess helps lead Houston’s own annual InkSlinger Printmaking Showcase, It Came from the Bayou.
